Home staging is the newest and most popular trend among home owners who are looking to put up their London, Ontario homes for sale, and it has everyone scrambling to make the interior of their home resemble the pages of a magazine. In their haste to improve the inside, many people spend their entire budget staging and forget one of the most important aspects of their home: the yard. Your yard is the first thing that buyers will see, so you want it to make a good impression and entice them to come inside and see the rest. Here are some things to remember when prepping your yard:
The Driveway
If your Mississauga residential real estate is relatively new, your driveway should still be in decent shape. But if it's more than a few years old, asphalt and even concrete driveways will start to fade and show cracks. While it's not necessary to have it completely redone, you will want to patch and reseal the driveway to make it look new. If you have a gravel driveway, have it re-graveled or at least graded before people start coming. Plants coming up through the cracks in your driveway, walkway, or patio are a big turn off, so do the weeding first.
The Lawn and Greenery
Everyone dreams of having a piece of real estate in Arlington that will make their neighbors jealous, so if you can give them an even green lawn and a nicely arranged, properly trimmed garden, they'll be sold before they even go inside. If your lawn is brown and patchy you might need to completely re-sod the whole thing, but if you've been taking care, a little grass seed, some watering, and a mow should look alright. If you don't have any greenery, consider getting some, preferably already grown.
The Clutter
One of the biggest turnoffs for people when they're looking at Spokane, Washington homes for sale is if they see a lot of trash and clutter in the yard. So if you've got disused vehicles, appliances, or wood scraps littering your lawn, you'll need to make a trip (or several) to the dump. Even kids toys should be neatly arranged (in the case of large playsets) or put away (in the case of smaller toys). Don't leave lawn implements or sports equipment lying around. If need be, buy a small shed or baby barn for storage.
The Deck
People love to see Toronto real estate that has a deck, but if your deck is warped, discolored, or in disrepair, all buyers will see is a lot of work. To make sure buyers are impressed with your deck, reseal it before they come and replace any warped, cracked, or discolored boards.
